I personally think he's our best option at the moment. For now if we could pair him with DJ it would work best. His touch is miles beyond the other strikers we've got. It's nice to see somebody making some intelligent runs rather than just hold up play with their back to goal. I'm so bored of just lumping it forward hoping HH will score a 25 yard bullet header. Currently we're missing our most creative players and this is why Macheda has nothing to work with.

I though he was awful ...far too lightweight and flashy ...thought we had Di Carmine back out on the pitch!

Will be released by Man Utd and never heard of again I should think!

Thought Macheda did ok considering the state of the rest of the team, and if he's lightweight Bothroyd must be made of feathers, he goes down like ****, cant jump, or finish. Macheda has come into a struggling team missing its best players down the bottom of the league, think messi would have struggled last night. Also at one point macheda was chasing everything down and getting into the box and never getting a same service back from anyone. If Ferguson saw something in him he's decent enough. If anything think hughes is saving him. Bothroyd should sod off to cardiff and they can take Mackie too, got no time for sentimentality anymore I want us to stay up, sod the **** players.

This sorta player needs top guys around him to shine. We coulda have had Rooney and he woulda been the same. We need our boys back and new uns.

Personally thought Macheda was god awful and that Bothroyd had a relatively good game, Macheda can carry on down that tunnel until he reaches Manchester!

want to like him, but find him pretty light weight. given his size he should be much stronger. i think he needs atleast another 5 games to settle in, do we have that much time to be fart arseing about

Macheda was looking cheesed off with Bothroyd for not chasing down enough

I was disapointed when MH took off the two that I thought were the most 'up for it' last night, but in the cold light of day it makes sense if he's saving them for Saturday

                    In Hughes we trust

It was funny when he tried playing it on with his arm (he's used to being able to get away with that playing for man u - biased refs n all that)

when you have a midfield consisting of Derry, a player who has hardly had any match time (Buzz), Mackie (say no more), and SWP on the wrong wing - theres only so much the strikers can do.

And unfortunately without Traore at the back, there is no composure or quality on the ballwith Clint Hill. Solid player, but no pace and certainly not Premiership quality. Strikers are never going to get good service when things are like that

on the ball showed some very nice tricks, i think he is still more of a winger than a striker.

runs around a lot and tries hard which is always good to see.

i think he is worth a chance if we wasnt in such trouble. but we dont have time to test out youngsters.

He has some nice tricks but loses possession easy and is he doesn't get stuck in enough. Personally would rather we played DJ over him or give a chance to some of our youngsters. He won't be at Man Utd much longer.
