I may get shot down but i was actually quite pleased with the effort he put in tonight.... he showed Bothroyd how to do it and a couple of times looked back and told him! This may not have been apparent on tele but Jay Bothroyd is the LAZIEST player i have ever seen

They said on tv that he stormed down the tunnel after he was subbed off!

He was ok. Not overly impressed with him & definitely don't think he's anywhere near Man Utd quality but can improve given a run.

Can we afford to give him a run though? This was a good chance for some players to make a claim for playing time and I don't think many did!

As mentioned in another thread, i thin khe did ok and worked his socks off chasing all day, and making clever runs and he won more in the air in the his 60 mins than Bothroyd has for weeks. Fair play to him for not having the big time charlie attitude and he is prepared to graft. Decent start.

Will need a good few games to get going but reckon he can do a better job then Bothroyd

Still think its worth trying out DJ and HH up front

he did put in effort, that's true. no sure there was much for the team for that effort, but happy with the effort.

bothroyd shockingly anonymous for first 20 minutes, but for most of the rest of the match showed good movement, made space, caused problems. maybe it's the booze talking, but maybe, just maybe, mh can turn him into a player that can cause problems... i'm hoping.

I thought he showed passion and desire which is a start - its hard to judge him because we create so little and sometimes when he makes the runs our players just not on the same wave length!
I think he could do alright when we get a few players with an eye to thread a ball through!!! He done the best he could tonight!

                      Think some are easily pleased...

Macheda will not score a PL goal for us as long as I have a hole in my rear end and Bothroyd was awful for the whole game his cross around the 83rd minute was embarrassing to say the very least...

Both will get us relegated if they are still up front for us come May....

If you watch the first 20 odd minutes he actually played really well chased the ball down won it and passed it. he even won more headers than Bothroyd!

                          Not a fan

Why donor strikers go to the wing and cross the ball into swp? Want them in the box

Thought he was poor, reminds me of a flasher version of priskin. How he is on the books of Man United is beyond me.

Many of us did say he wasn't the answer but as usual we had a thousand & one experts telling us he's a Man Utd player & he scored a worldy on his debut 200 years ago

Unfortunately at the minute we have not much else.

I'd go with HH & DJ personally.
