  • Can SWP draw level with Tim Howard in the top scorers table tonight?

I hope so, but his shooting is abysmal.

The one against Geordies hit the frame but was slicing away from the target, and from the shooting position he had, if you slice across the ball it makes the goal smaller. Strikers will know what I mean.

Imagine he was put thru with a one on one with the keeper tonight, would you be confident?

Because he usually shoots while he's sprinting, he lashes wildly at it, needs more composure, and he has a bit more time than he thinks.

Anyway, come on Shaunnieeee !! bit more practice mate.

1 on 1 i'd be quite confident to be honest, just in a crowded area he's been rushing for some reason.

Ive been very dissapointed with SWP apart from the first 2 or 3 games.

He cant cross or shoot which i find astonishing for a player who has played in the top flight all his career and played for his country

It's a malaise that seems to affect 95% of footballers nowadays... it's why players who can actually shoot straight (eg V.Persie) are worshipped as superhuman. Amongst English players I reckon only 0.2% can actually shoot straight AND cross a ball.......

Why dont he practise his shooting and crossing then in training?

Players like Lampard,as much as i loathe him stay behind regulary to practice shooting.

I have never really rated SWP. Don't get me wrong - he is a good player for a club like us, but his history, in terms of clubs and England call ups suggest he is far better than he is.

I am sure his wages do too.

              His shooting is reckless.

Pretty sure his shooting has always been like in. He just lashes at it.. On the odd occasion they go in and look spectacular.

for me he still has not been given that run on the right. Until he does, i wont judge him, because i think he is a great player who we are wasting. Id love to see how good van persie would be in center midfield, or Rooney as a left winger

                    didn't happen tho did it.

More confidence and he would of gone round the keeper and walked it in

It was a pretty poor effort to be fair. He's not a striker but ffs he didnt even connect with the ball properly AGAIN.
