  • Bothroyd will come good

I know most of you disagree with me, but I think he was badly managed by NW using him as holding player which I think affected his confidence. His natural position is striker. If you remember the Man City game, he was a threat scoring and hitting the post because we used 2 strikers. The same goes with the Spurs game when he was introduced. Against Newcastle depsite missing chances, when did he got chances before? He was unlucky not to score in the first half. Yes he missed an easy one inside the box, but every strker misses (Torrres?). Trust me he will come good soon.

Remember how Helguson was crticised before?

HMS Bothroyd is one of the main reasons we are where we are, as he would not hit water if he fell out of a boat. Wait for him to come good ?, QPR FC will be relegated before that happens and its time to get rid and look elsewhere for someone who knows how to put the ball in the goal.

To be fair he has had many chances and has not taken them. He has missed some great chances and his failure has cost us massive points. Helguson keeps scoring. Time is not on our side!

If DJ does OK tonight I'm sure he'll get the nod against Wigan to play with HH, the not so big man / little man combo.

Problem with Both is shocling technique and he never even hits the target!

I'm going against the grain and agreeing with Yousef for once. On two of the very rare times Warnock played Jay in a two man strike force, he scored. He's not a lone striker and to be fair to him, he's got good feet and can go past players. We know he's got goals in him.

My main gripe is that he's lazy. That winds me up.

Has scored as many goals as Dzeko since beginning of November.

That is true but he has no pace to get past someone and no strength to stop him falling over and no idea where the goal is. He scored two goals and both were headers (one was from 1/2 a hard) and that sums it up about our strike force, look at HH's goals, apart from the bullet header v Stoke, he has managed tap in's, a deflection, headers and a penalty.

I bet in HH and Bothroyd, we have the slowest strikers in the PL and I'm afraid that is why we are where we are.

i think not having a special song for him is not helping his confidence thus far.... when the ball hits row z it just flew past my head from jay bothroyd.....

He ain't done very well since the Cardiff game when he scored a cracker against us.

We need to score and we just can't hit the onion bag

Paul, don't get me wrong, I'm not making him out to be a top class player, but I think he's better than many give him credit for. I don't think he's quite as slow as you're saying either, and I've not seen him exactly bullied off the ball much. Being a striker himself, I'm sure Hughes will know whether or not he can do anything with the lad.

                              Only time will tell.
