On SSN tonight now saying Man City interrested Samba too with them & Spurs in the race thats us totally blown out of the water unless he likes Hughes more than money & trophys?
Even if he were to sign for us it would be utterly brainless of Rovers to let him go until the last minute of window.... what's the point of them giving us a boost in our dogfight with them in next games; they want us to be weakened and defencively bereft foe as long as possible.

i could see city jumping in and getting him. quick cover whilst toure is away
talk that Dann will also leave now - as he was told or given assurances that Samba would not be sold when he signed for them..... worrying times at Blackburn
1st team football & Mark Hughes to make him a better player or a lot of money and no certain 1st team football.
I honestly know what I would prefer but I don't know what the player would prefer
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
Surely it must be obvious to everyone by the timing and comments by Samba that ther is a real interest in joining us.
1. Why put a transfer request in now when there has been a lot of interest in the past and he has never wavered. Seems a big coincidence that Hughes has just been appointed and has shown an interest.
2. If you look at Sambas statement it says he needs a new challenge not that he wants to go to a bigger club or win things, another coincidence don't you think.
3. He has undoubtedly been told to force the transfer through in this window, why he rush if he intends to go to Spurs or City. We need him now to keep us up they certainly do not need him short term to fulfill their ambitions.
4. The bookies have reduced their odds even further and thy do not gt much wrong.
We might not get him as a lot can go wrong or Blackburn could play hard ball, but that is unlikely as player power wins in the end. Probably cost a fair bit, particularly wages and signing on etc but would certainly not write it off.
