looking at our position realistically what type of player will we attract?

That is the gut feeling I have now that NW is gone, but I hope I am wrong.

No not really I get the feelin that some of us are just a little impatient! There 2 weeks left of transfer window and most of it ilhappens at the end of the month!!!!

Some of us would have thought some work was done before the window to make things go faster. We could have used some help yesterday and we can use help on saturday. It is not a matter of 2 weeks left in window but also the fact that points are lost until we do get someone in.

No there will be a couple of changes, no more than three new faces though, all this talk of 5 or 6 just wont happen. We can still attract a good level of player, better than what we have, but some names being branded about like Tevez or Defoe or Bent forget that!! we have Machedea and Henrique ( have inquired) and we will get in a centre half i believe.

I think maybe 1 or 2 signings, but largely yes we will have the same squad. It will definitely be a test of sparkys mettle as a manager. Can he get our misfiring bunch performing again?

What I find strange is in Warnocks Independent interview he says he had more or less tied up Alex and the City lad so if thats the case why have they not gone through yet obviosuly assuming Hughes wants them

If just one, we need someone who can score goals because that is something that we have lacked all season.

Unless the strategy is different from what NW wanted us to believe. MH has never promised any signings.

I think our position in bottom 3 stymies us in terms of signing anyone of genuine talent/ambition. We spunked away too many points in winnable games and missed opportunity to be comfortably mid-table and milking the plaudits a la Swansea/Norwich. Whereas we could well of easily attacted 4/5 keen signings we will probably struggle to get two (and have to stump up more £dosh to "convince" them to sign).

damage has been done last 2 months...
Wont attract the same calibre of player than what we would have and just hope we dont sign 3 or 4 desperation signings like we normally do and end up with 3 out of the 4 on long contracts and either injured/not interested/no better than what we had.

Sod sentiment NW has left this us in the **** here.

The first three games after the transfer window we look like a team more than capable at finishing in mid table further along the line he lost the dressing room was unable to control his backroom staff and this ultimately led to what looks to be our downfall this season

I think that Hughes has the near impossible task given our run in at the end of the season and I can totally understand why Tony Fernandez would not want to outlay such a large budget in this transfer window at risk of actually bankrupting the club if we get relegated.

So what was the point in hiring Hughes then?
He can't be on a pittance and probably on more than Warnock. If that's the way TF thinks,...that basically we are down then we may as well kept NW till the end of the season, and saved money.
