    Wrong type of ball,
    The grass is too long/short
    I wasn't wearing my gloves
    I was wearing my gloves
The sun was in my eyes
The rain was in my eyes
I should have shut my eyes
Discovered my laces were tied together

I think he looked half decent yesterday, other than a strayed pass and that shocking miss. He done their right back and created a chance from distance for himself yesterday and clipped the post. If that was Adel, you'd all be saying how well he did to get the shot off. I'm not for one minute trying to liken the two players, but let's see if Hughes can get something out of him. We all know he can hit the back of the net. It's a confidence thing, like with all strikers. Let's be completely fair...our midfield this season aren't notorious for creating chances for our strikers.

Either you're reasonably funny, or that was beautifully ironic...

Missed so many chances this season, deserves criticism, its not about being patient, we're running out of time. I hope he can turn it around.

                      No worse than Torres!

well he is. Torres may be awful at finishing lately but the rest of his game is still very good. He also puts in a lot of effort. I can accept a player with limited ability trying, but a player with limited ability not trying really winds me up.
That is why chel**** fans still back torres, yet all our fans have/are turning on bothroyd.

It's tough but we have to keep faith with him..... remember how pony HH was in his first stint with us. It's all within Jay somewhere... he could start banging them in, be England's No.9 and be worth £45 million in 12 months......

issue with him is he's not hitting the target...regardless whether in PL or the unibond league - the goal is the same size...

What makes Bothroyd always drag the ball out wide, surely someone must instruct him to just stay in the 18 yard box lines. He always drifts out wide and ends up crossing into SWP. I think he thinks he is Henry in his prime.
