SWP should only play on the right. Having a free role means when he gets the ball he's too tired to cause problems. His first touch is poor 50% of the time and when central this causes the team more of a problem, whereas out wide on the right it gives us longer to recover.
Mackie should be played upfront or not at all. His kick and rush technique sometimes gets him past his man and we saw last season that he can finish (unlike swp for example - another reason for swp to be wide). Mackie can't cross and once he beats his man slows up not knowing what to do next. Play him up top and his only option would be to shoot!
Gabbidon and Hill need replacing. No pace, no prem level ability on the ball.
Derry bless him is slower than me and I'm slow. He shouldn't play again at this level. Keep him for the dressing room banter and for next season should the worst happen.
Buzsaky should only play central midfield and only when he has pace and options around him. He has a quick football brain but is nearly as slow physically as Derry.
HH and Bothroyd are both too slow to be on the pitch together. I prefer Bothroyd's hold up but HH is better at flicking the ball on. Neither are great finishers although HH probably does slightly better.
Draws are only any good against the big sides from here on in, so we need to stick with 442 and go for it.
