granted we're no good now, fact. but don't bring up our best season since our near league winning one decades back simply because we're struggling now.
we were by far the best last year and deserved all the praise it came with. end of. no one is taking our outstanding performance over 46 matches away. we were outstanding and rightly so crowned champions.
we're not that good now, but we were...we really were.Chelmsford City the home of Radio

how were we not the best team last season? what have I missed?
how did the team who finished top not become the best team?
derby away? smells like team spirit to me....
what more could a squad do to be considered the best in the league? win in the playoffs? finish second?....
come on - i understand we've not improved since, i understand we are rubbish at best atm, but come on boys, last year we really were the best in the league.
why so negative?

Well the table do not lie so we were the better team last season, BUT we did not won because we had the best team but because we had the best player. Norwich and Swansea became promoted because they had the best teams and were not solely dependent on one player (to make it black and white).

Thinking of starting my own.
Maybe... 'How many carriages was your train' or how about 'how many feet & inches difference is Newcastle's pitch compared to Loftus Rd?'

No Nicky you are completely wrong and for once I agree entirely with Paul Mason. Take Derry out of the side and replace him with Watson say and I think we would have gone up. Mackie was injured and we brought in Routledge who was actually a considerable improvement. Kenny was good but probably no better than Speroni. But take Tabs out of the team - which he has been for most of this season for whatever reason - and you are left with a Championship side. No one we cd realistically have afforded to buy wd have come close to him. He often had three, four players marking him last season - he was probably twice as good as the Championship's next most effective player (Chopra/ whoever).
Sadly Hill/ Derry/ Mackie have now been exposed for the average championship players they always were - brilliant work rate/ professionalism etc that all three have and for which I shall always be grateful.
