He is one of the very few vaguely Prem standard players we have. You would need to get rid of about 35 of our 40 man squad before you said Luke Young wasn't good enough.

If Clint Hill could defend then he would not have played Best a yard onside then Young would not of had to make the mistake. Only as good as what's around you.

This is rubbish. Imagine yourselves playing with the back of the goal 90% of the time with no support or no place to hide.
Eventually every single one of the defenders will be found at fault for the odd goal when the defence and defensive midfield is exposed due to the lack of organization.
In addition to that, having Derry on the midfield today was just like carrying a passenger instead.(God bless Derry for what his done for this club though)
