Hogan is also lightweight like some have already mentioned. I feel the reason some think that his movement was poor last season was due to the fact sousa had him playing CM. This restricted him as I don't think he understood when to go and when to stay. He is an attacking midfielder left, right or centre and has good crossing ability. I would have him in the squad ahead of Alberti, Balanta and Agyegmang currently. However, hoping Balanta comes into his own this season.
If you have seen anything of Balanta in the friendlies then you'd change your mind here fella. He's been the nuts and there will be a lot of hype about him this season.

Who have we played in the friendlies ? Very low league teams.

Do you put Hogan ahead of the following if he was to play out wide (left or right side):
            Adel - no
            Rowlands - no
            Routledge - no
            Cook - no
            Balanta - no
            Agyemang - no
            Faurlin - no
            Buzz - no
            Vine - no
            Alberti - YES

Do you put Hogan ahead of the following if he was to play a Central Role:
            Rowlands - no
            Balanta - no
            Agyemang - no
            Faurlin - no
            Buzz - no
            Vine - no
            Leigertwood - no
Mahon - no (not in a defencive midfield role)
            Alberti - YES

            That's my point!
So is Faurlin good on the wing?

seems like a fair shout to me. Let him go for a decent price.

anything around 1M we should sell him he is too far away now from a 1st team place especially if we are keeping ainsworth in the squad for a year.

on the plus side he is versatile and can do a moderate job across the midfield but he is not first 11 anywhere across the pitch so in that case you sell and look to improve the squad.
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

if we can make a decent profit then sell, sell, sell...he has potential but is far from the finished article

So keep him and let him become the finished article.

I don't think Ainsworth will feature as much as people think.

why, when as the sale of Delaney and Blackstock have shown, the transfer money wont be spent on any new signings(loans dont count)

Id like to keep him, but if he cant get a regular place i expect we will sell.

Look at his passing (which is normally poorer than Leigertwoods!); look at his movement off the ball and his ability to make space for himself (its non-existent 95% of the time). He can't tackle and as I have said he’s far too lightweight. He rarely gets assists or scores and isn't nowhere near as creative as others in our squad so what do people really see in him. If he was that great West Ham would never have let him go. I'm no fan of theirs BUT they are a Club who have created some of this countries greatest players (Hammer is cracking one out now as he's reading this I can sense!!!), so why would they let him go for pittance if he was that great!

Cookie is not the player he was but Hogan would never get in front of him in my eyes and I have Cook at 4th choice at the minute ahead of Hogan (Adel, Routledge, Balanta, Cook, Hogan in case you are wondering in terms or wide players)!
im looking at his passing, does some decent through balls if we had a striker and switches the play well. he doesnt stop moving, you never see him stood still, plays lots of 1-2's and decent movement between passes. he tries tricks and normally gets past his man rather than running into people or knocking it past them and hoping his knees wont give way (unlike everyones favourite lee cook). he creates things.

not sure when youve seen him play or how many times youve seen him play or where you sit tbh.
