In a way, I hope he does leave.
He's a very good young player who is at the early stages of developement.
It would do him no good staying here and getting a handful of games. The lad needs to pay and therefore should definately consider moving on. I'd rather we loaned him as we still get the end product but I'd also sooner sell that hinder or even completely ruin the lads career.
I expect good things from him and wish him well whatever he decides.Your mum would love me...

If he going to leave then loan him to Swansea and let Sousa develop him which he was doing and then take him back once he looks like he will do some serious damage in our first team.
We don't need to sell, slap a silly £5 million price tag on him and tell Sousa he can loan him....take it or leave it Paulo.

Sousa has 2 million in his back pocket after the sale of Jason Scotland.
I'd take the money for Hogan and put it towards a decent forward and a left back.

Guaranteed first team football under a coach who, whatever some of you may think, should have the utmost respect for his achievements in the world of football in a stable club without nutty Italians in charge of all football matters ; hmmm, let me think...
I like Hogan and have always rated him, but he has never really had a chance for one reason or another for a full run in the team. Being overlooked for Cooky early last season was a bit harsh and it wasn't until Sousa started to use him centrally towards the end of his tenure that Hogan started to flourish again.
BUT, would you pick him ahead of Taarabt, Routledge, Cooky, Vine out wide? Or, in front of Buzz, the new argie, Legs or Rowly in the middle of the park? And, yes, whilst he was a striker when younger, do you think he'd be a regular?
Harsh, but if I were him, I'd definelty be tempted to follow Paulo.

it might be a bit hasty to let anyone go yet,as it is not about individuals but the team.it is not necessarily so that the best midfield players are able to play together.sure there are some exciting players here now,but can they gel and will they leave us wide open to counter attacks?i would still have 1 defensive midfielder at home and probably 2 in away games, lets wait and see which players can gel.we could play buzz, taarabt, routledge, faurlin;but i think that would be suicidal

This is one deal I can see happening. He has been after him since he took over Swansea. originally we tried to do a swap with Prattley. Guess, that is on the back burner now, but would not surprise if he goes. I would not make it cheap though.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Loan him as I said before and let Sousa develop him but if he is sold then we would have to have a massive sell on fee of 30-40% as he will make it into the PL eventually IMO.Last edited by W12_Ranger; 24-07-2009, 10:32 AM.

Would love that, but its more likely to be around 1 million. Agree, it should be higher.

I agree with your original post saying that we don't need to sell and loaning him would actually be a better option for us. If Taraabt didn't end up signing for us permanently we could bring Ephraim back and as a better player.
