  • Realistic Points Left To Win?

At Newcastle station so not got fixtures to hand but for anyone that has how many 'realistic' games have we got where we should really be getting maximum points.

    We have yet to play;

    Man Utd
    Liverpool
    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    Spurs
    Man City

    Games you really wouldn't expect much if anything from but also to play off the top of my head;

    Wigan
    Blackburn
    Fulham
    Swansea
    Everton
    West Brom

Where we should be getting points. So they talk about the magic 40 points how many have we 'realistically' got to win from our remaining games. I think we need at the very minimum 9 wins to keep us up but as it stands I can't see that happening. New manager yes, new players yes but they all have to be bedded in & a new managers style takes time to come across on the pitch. I'm genuinely worried for us now.

Don't want to even think about Wigan & the what if..

Someone give me some hope cos I'm losing mine rapidly.

6 / 7 wins in very doable and a couple of draws!

Hopefully should get something from Aston Villa (A), Swansea (H [they are not too good away and we did get a drawer at Swansea]), Stoke (H), Wolves (H), Bolton (A) and possibly Sunderland away end of March.

Being honest ric think the change came to
Late to effect this season, out of 17 games
Left =51 points , we will need min 20
Points and that may Not be enough
So maybe 5 wins 5 draws or 6 wins 2 draws
Basically means we need a positive result in more or less every other game

The biggest issue is that cos we left it so
late To make change our league position not going to
Encourage rhe players we need to Come,

Had a bet with my 11 year old start of season for £100
That we would stay up and my boy said I may aswel pay now unfortunately I think
        Hes right

Hmmm its gonna go to the wire. The run in we have is so tough.

I think the next 6 games will make or break our season.

All of our next 7 fixtures with the right additions are winnable:

              Wigan (h)
              Villa (a)
              Wolves (h)
              Blackburn (a)
              Fulham (h)
              Everton (h)
              Bolton (a)

Then of the final 10 Man U, Chelsea and City away are both unrealistic but we play tottenham, liverpool and arsenal at home.....so anything is possible. Other 5 are West Brom, Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland all winnable.

So I make it 12 games to get 20 points

All we need is goalscorers, and the points will duly follow.

Yesterday said Six wins gives as 35 points and think we will get that. Can we dig out a seventh and couple of draws?? it means we need to be taking points from 50% of the matches we have left

What have we got now 17 points?

37 points will send us down. I personally think we need a minimum of 45 points this season to stay up. Agree about next run of games though. If we have a bad run we're cattle trucked.

If not and it is 45 points were not getting 28 points and were fkd

Given the run in were going to have to beat one of the top five before the end of the season. Ric don’t think it will need 45 points to stay up that’s very high and would mean all the teams around us going on amazing runs can’t see that happening.

Everyone up to Villa is still in the mix. Historically one side always falls apart 2nd half of season. Could be Fulham they have been inconsistent like us and conceding 3 against 10men and a club in turmoil suggests to me all is not well they strike me as being complacent when you listen to their fans which is a recipe for disaster

tall order to stay up...damage has been done in the first half of the season with current players and Warnock in charge

Warnock should have gone after the WBA game, new manager should have been I before Xmas.
