Originally posted by QPR Richard View PostThe same game as you mate, so what exactly did Mackie do today that brings you to this conclusion? I'd be genuinely interested to know.
Kept a good shape, often dropping in to cover Central areas in front of our back four, hence one shot on target for them.
Provided cover for the full back both in front and when their wide players tried to go wide to cross.
Was a constant outlet wide right stretching their centre halfs.
Pressed their midfield and back four once they entered our half forcing them to go backwards and hen long, once again hence their one shot on target.
I would get used to hard working Mackie type players, albeit with a bit more quality, as Hughes will demand nothing less.

If he didn't do that how do you account for their lack of goal threat, don't know the stats but bet they had fewer shots in this game than any other this season.

If he's as good as you say he is, how come only West Ham have made an enquiry for him during this transfer window? And if he played as good as you say he did, I'm sure there'll be enquiries from other EPL clubs from tonight.
Their lack of goal threat I put down to a decent performance from our CBs today.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Well Mackie is Mackie really - he will never be Iniesta. He runs and runs and in between runs he sometimes get lucky with his runs, but most of the time he just runs into 2 defenders with the ball or behind for a goal kick. Today he was above his average but as everyone else he didn't look like hitting the goal.
