We dont press the ball enough for a prem team! we stand clear and there were times we had 3 players surrounding one of their players and their player still came out with the ball or found a pass. Our movement is shocking, even from throw in there was no energy or deire to make runs bring a defender out of position so someone else could find space. I lost count how many times when one of our players would throw their hands in the air when they had the ball as no one made runs or space to be passed to.
Our abillity to retain possession is very poor at this level you have to be able to play the ball on the floor for long periods of times. Also some of our first touches for prem players is also well of the pace.
There is alot of improvement to be made. But I look at the team hughes could put out today and what can we expect. We are with out Traore, tarbs, faurlin and barton and those 4 are massive loses.

Thought quite the opposite. Reducing NUFC to one shot on target at SJP does NOT come from being lazy. We worked hard with no end product. A striker with pace and presence would've stretched them at the back but afraid HH (despite his earlier goals spell) and JB are Championship class.

Nonsense. He was crap in front of goal, but not lazy.

Don't think that we were lazy, just slow and not enough quality.

We could have played all day and not scored.

they didn't break in numbers. There were countless occasions when we broke with the ball and four or five players just stood rooted Watching one man struggle, usually mackie, to beat the five players surrounding him. Not good enough. Hughes won't save this year we should've hired dynamo as manager. Keeping us up would be his most astonishing trick yet!

To many one pace players, and not enough quality to cause other teams to many problems.

We were ponderous around the pitch, uncommitted for the loose ball, lacklustre in attack, unmotivated, unoriginal, poor; in fact a very typical display
