Not saying that but we have vital games coming up and we dont look like bringing in any players atm.

surprising PSG is been mentioned as the favoured move for Samba and Alex. Money seems to be the be all and end all for footballers today
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

Always amuses me how anxious fans are to throw about other peoples money. In the case of Samba we have reportedly already upped our bid to anything ranging from 6-8m. I don't call that derisory. Blackburn will try to hold out for 10. But even if we rushed in and offered 10, Blackburn wd only try to hold out for 12. Playing our cards well, holding our nerve, testing Blackburn's resolve could save us two or three million pounds. Just equate that to your own lives and think how quickly you could earn that money - then go back to TF and say "FFS just get your checkbook out". Wd far prefer to wait a week or two and end up with Samba and Santa Cruise than rush in and be left with Collins and Andy Johnson forever more.

reminds me of the Scott parker situation we bid 4 million it got rejected and ended up with joey Barton on a free. Could we be seeing history repeat itself here ie club gets fans on side by bidding low amounts for great players knowing they'll get rejected then buy poorer players for even less (parker and barton) (samba and Collins. Alex and bridge. drogba and Johnson? )

or i could be completely wrong! Either way its gonna be interesting to see who we actually get.

Apparently our 'upped' bid for Alex is £3.5M

Totally agree, Carroll cost more than Fabregas
Also cahill from Bolton £7m, when lescott about 24m.
Nasri was about 22m but we are in for t Cahill, the latter being the better premiership player IMHO.
Alex bid of 3.5m when we sold peacock to Newcastle 17 yrs ago for about 2.7m.
Was a time that I understood prices but now it appears random.
