Alex is quality.....proven player, amazing free kick, strong in the tacke and good positional sense......whether he is Brazilian or not is irrelevant......best defender we will ever have.......and he has soemthing to prove.

And Brazil's defence is shi*te!!?? So we would say no to Danni Alves, Thiago Silva, Juan etc...........ha ha ha

Personalym, never rated Alex as a top defender ( no doubt he;'s good) and never really bought int o the "because he's brazilian he must be good" thing

Bazils defence is shocking, you can name Cafu, etc but that was along time ago....

Agian...personally..English ? italian defenders are the best in the world at defending......just a shame they doint attack

Alex is a great ball playing defender in the mould of bec kenbaur and dare i say rio ferdi..but like RF he always gives the oposition a chance...

I will stand by the fact that there are good Brazilian defenders. The fact Brazil's defence can be shocking is not relevant as when playing for Brazil, most of their defence end up playing attacking midfield...
