  • Why QPR were right to sack a great manager and replace him with an ordinary one

    http://blogs.independent.co.uk/2012/...-neil-warnock/

This is one of the more original and well-argued perspectives I've read on the events of the last week - not sure I agree with it to the letter (the writer's a City fan and it shows in his opinion of MH) but I think there's a ring of essential truth there if you ignore the general controversy of it. And the Barton stuff is spot on.

Just read it, great article...like yourself I don't agree with all of it...but essentially it's spot on.

I think he's gone over the top on some of his views. You can see the theory behind it, but I think in the most part, it's utter bowlocks. One thing he's got spot on is the reluctance of a higher calibre poser buying into the Warnock dream. Hughes will always attract bigger names because of his background.

"utter bowlocks" is going bit over the top yourself there Benny, which bit? That one thing you say is spot on is pretty much the main crux of the article!

It was more tongue-in-cheek, mate. I understood that it was the main part.

There was just one small part I disagreed with. Maybe two...
