Why is it taking so long? I would have signed four players by now.

I'm sorry, but i agree with the original poster.
Hughes knew before Sunday that he would be offered the job.He was appointed Tuesday morning and 48 hours is sufficient time in my book to have at least 4 players on board. I say 4, because, i like that number. But the deals have been done and ratification with the premiership is taking far too long.
So, if we lose on Sunday and subsequently get relegated, the only people to blame for this is Tony and Mark Hughes.
Quite frankly, the way this current QPR board is trying us fans, prison would be far too good for them.
We have paid a lot of money, stamped alot of feet and fingers having been typing in a furious fashion now since Lord warnock was dismissed.
Monday morning,i didn't eat up all my shreddies had bad guts all day and went to bed early...For this i blame Tony Fernandez and Mark Hughes.

Putting the feelers out? a) Isn't that technically called an illegal appraoch and b) if Hughes was making enquiries about transfers with agents / players imagine the back page headlines if an aggreived club or agent leaked to the press when Warnock was manager you'd be on here saying what a shambles / betrayal and c) Warnock could've sued for constructive dismissal.

Well i don't see the next game against Newcastle as a must win game. The Wigan game IS a must win game. I would rather Hughes get the right players in then rush any old rubbish in just to make the numbers up.
Lets say we lose to Newcastle then Hughesy gets all the players in HE wants next week we could easily go on and win the next 7 games which are against
Wigan Athletic (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Wolves (H)
Blackburn (A)
Fulham (H)
Everton (H)
Bolton (A)
If we seriously strengthen our squad then all these games are very winnable and the Newcastle game would be virtually insignificant. If we win them all we'd have 38 points and if we won 4, drew 3 we would have 32 points and close to the 40 point mark with 9 games still to play. I'm confident we can go unbeaten in those games if we get the right players in. All if's and buts i know but then again i've been confident with Warnock or Hughes we're gonna finish 12th to 14th anyway.

QPR to bid £3 million for Squillaci from Arsenal. Mark Hughes sees him as an essential player to his new QPR team
12 Jan 2012 07:48:18
Mark Hughes is set to sign six players in the next 10 days as he tries to to take his new club QPR, away from the relegation zone.
Nicky Shorey is in talks with Rangers after a £3 million bid was accepted last night. The former England left back currently plays for West Brom and Hughes is keen to make the left sided full back his priority.
Another defender set to move to Loftus Road is Chris Smalling. Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson, is keen for the England defender to move out on loan and and could join QPR until the end of the season.
German youngster Christopher Buchtmann, who is wanted by a number of Premier League sides, will join QPR until the end of the season from FC Koln, with a view to a full time deal in the summer.
22 year old striker Stefano Okaka, is in talks with Hughes, after his club Roma had a £4 million bid accepted from the London side.
Another striker set to speak to Hughes is former Chelsea and Tottenham player Eidur Gudjohnsen. The Icelandic attacker is currently playing for AEK Athens but is available to speak to clubs about summer move, with his contract set to run out. The Greek club are also expected to listen to offers of around £500,000.
The third and final attacker to join QPR this month is Chelsea youngster Gael Kakuta. The young French midfielder will sign on loan until the end of the season.
Probably all rubbish but thought it would give everybody something to talk about.
