  • Rowlands a worthy captain?

Is everybody happy for Rowlands to keep the armband?

Is the fact hes the captain the only reason he will be in the starting XI or is he still one of our best midfielders and deserves to start?

Im happy for him to be captain and start but cant help think if he loses his place he well struggle to get it back.

Yea, i'll be more than happy to see Rowly skipper the side, he's a very good leader, and has proved it.
We're Queens Park Rangers, we rule supreme

Rowlands should be captain and he is a great leader as well as a great player.
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think Rowly will be an important player for us next season, Madge seems to have a lot of respect for him as well.

        Deffo stay as captain

he is the king pin,we seem very lost and short of drive when he is out, think he will be playing deeper as defensive role this season

No sorry I disagree, good player but a poor leader. The art of captaincy is to keep your team together and that means knowing when to berate, when to encourage and when to pull together (and that means everyone). Rowlands has an obvious dislike of Buzzacky (or basically anyone more skillful than him and foreign) and I thought his treatment of Parejo at the start of last season was shocking for a club captain. He only seems to know how to berate. Mahon is a great captain but I doubt whether he is going to be able to hold down a place. Connelly will make a great captain but it may just be a bit too early.

Baz sometimes a player need a good #######ing. I think players like Parejo and Buzz who we all know is class needs geeing up at times. If you take things to heart on a football pitch then you shouldn't be playing the game. Baz I take it you have never played the game. I used to say awful things on a pitch when playing for Egham but afterwards we we're best of mates.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

thought he had a bad season last season and if that form carries on then wouldnt even put him in the side. Got too many midfielders to keep happy without pandering to the guy because he is captain.

Definite captain for me. Not only because of his leadership skills but because he leads by example.

Bets person for the job. leads by example and is an excellent player and arguably the best accurate striker of a ball in the side.

agree but I like a busy midfielder barking out orders.
                              I guess i'm just old fashioned now I am 30 ;)
