It was against Swansea and he ripped them to pieces, I'd definately play him up front in a slightly withdrawn 2nd striker role, with Buzz on the left and the two interchanging

I would have them the other way round.
Buzz doesn't have the pace to play on the wing and should be playing through the middle in where I see him much more effective
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Play him up front if need be,when was the last time we had a centre forward with that much skill, who could run at a defender all day long?

Two centre forwards in Vine and Taarabt who are very comfortable with the ball at there feet who like to run at defenders, its a defenders nightmare. Both Vine and Taarabt cause defenders to make needless challenges around the box,and it just so happens we have a dead ball specialist in Buzsaky.

To be fair, we are chipping away here and building decent squad.Despite ramage and delaney, we had a good back four last year, buolt of a good defensive midfield.Im ok with Ramage, but havent seen Borrowdale play. The ionclusion of Tarbuck and Faurlin has definately strenghtened our attacking options in midfield.

Here is our problem. We do not score enough goals to win a game.HH and pat work hard, but do not score enough goals.Vine again, great player but has never been a prolific goalscorer. We have just sold our top scorer for past few season.Goals win games. You can play all the pretty football you want but unless you score a goal - you will not win a game.

So yes - a striker that can find the net is important.

league is not won or lost in September or December, its won in May 2010.

You have seen Tarrabt play, far better than Parejo wouldn't you agree?
No, it's won over 46 games. No point really going for it at the very end, why leave it so late?

I don't think you can say that Spencer.
I thought the main problem was lack of creativity. Once Buzz was out injured we had zero. Now it sounds like Tarrabt, buzz and Fraulin will add much needed creativity and depth to that role. Rowlands passed side ways on Legs went backwards we had nothing. I think with better service you will see Helguson score. I actually think Helguson will score more than Blackstock next season.

This is an attacking team full of flair and I seem to think many are thinking we are going to bomb balls up in the air. Our midfield (please stay fit) will get in the box. We do not have a whole midfield of players like mahon and Legs who are completely defensive (though we need 1 to play), its full of flair and will score goals. If players Helgusson, Ageymang , Vine and even Balanta chip away with goals, I cannot see a problem. Of course, many are still assuming that we cannot buy or loan anyone after the season starts, but the whole season is 46 games and we will have plenty of opportunity to purchase a striker. At the very least this team/squad will near te play offs come January, then we go big in the market, cannot understand some fans impatience?
                Pete...think before you post, please.

Nugent scored for England but he's no international superstar.

I'm as optemistic as the next QPR fan, but we NEED a striker. All good teams have 2-4 of them and we have none if we're going by form. We have some good footballers up top, but no real striker.

Good points weareqpr, totally agree about the creativity department we have, its just whether people rate HH or Pat to knock them in.....time will tell.Makes you wonder then why we got rid of Dex.I dont think either HH or pat are natural goalscorers and put any sort of fear into oppositions minds. But as you say....good points....Away from QPR - i would like to see how many goals Owen will score this season with Man Utd supplying him with the chances...rather than Newcastle.

Owen will score plenty...that I'm sure of.

He's one of the most clinical finishers in the league. Even last season at newcastle, his goals to chance ratio was higher than any other striker in the league...something like a goal every 2.86 games?

United should be capable of providing him 2 chance per game which works out around 26 goals based on 38 games. Ok...this doesn't mean he'll get the same convertion rate, nor will it guarentee that united can supply him 2 chances every game, but I can't honestly see him scoring less than 20 goals if he manages to stay reasonably injury free.

                    Top, top signing either way.

At the moment im actually fairly happy with the way the squad looks. Im gonna back this italian lad, got a goal the other night to boost his confidence so he could be alright. Taarabt is a fantastic signing! Over the moon with that.

I agree we need a LB but in fairness ive never seen borrowdale play, so he might work, just gotta wait and see.

I think i'm more worried about Ramage than Gary as I know ramages long ball won't suit many of our classy players in the middle

Im not that worried about ramage, i think he improved last season and if he can carry that on then he will be fine, Plus connolly can play rb if stewart and gorkks retain there CB places, and i cant see Connolly being dropped!!

                          Priority is LB.

His strength is skinning defenders and making goals, plus getting a few himself just like Routledge. Tarrabt on the left wing and Routledge on the right wing is balance we have not had for years.
                            Exactly!!!

Is this because we are not investing in 1 so they are going to try and make Tarrabt one?
I have issues with Ramage. Although a lovely guy he launches 70 yard passes and manages to bi pass the midfield. I would prefer much better full back and we should of signed Gunther. Rest of the side looks good but both full backs and a centre forward are where we are still lacking
                            Exactly!!!

He's not an out an out FORWARD FFS. His is in the same mould as Sinton was, but quicker and more skillful (and a tad too greedy at times for my liking). He is not the 20 goal a season striker we need. In fact he won't score more than DEXTER will on a game to game basis!

he's not a forward end of story.

I seem to remember last season was the same wait till january then if we're up there we'll spend big and have a real go for promotion, heard it all before why not spend big on a striker now and have a go at the start of the season,it's even harder to get hold of a striker in january as no team wants to sell unless you pay silly money and our board as shown there not prepared to do that.
