  • Don't want to sound spoilt .. But

Really happy with the class of defenders we are being linked with Alex will be a great buy as will samba if we get him onuhas ability to play anywhere along the back line will also be invaluable the one thing that concerns me is the forwards we are being linked with neither Zamora or Johnson really excite me and really can't see us getting Darren bent also like to see us linked with a couple of midfielders I'm not asking a lot lol

I would not worry about Johnson coming Anymore !!!!!!!

Very very surprised if this happens now under MH

I don't think strikers are as desperately needed as we all think. DJ hasn't become pony over night, Helguson playing really well, JB hopefully will be better under Hughes! The biggest problem for me is firstly the back line, but also hugely important is goals from midfield. Hopefully SWP playing onthe right will help, and also help with the supply of more goals!

What is important is plenty of shooting, free kick and corners practise in training, he needs to build the players confidence to shoot or try and take any chance. Somehow I don't think this was being done under Neil, MH has a large team of guys who can deal with all areas, I have no doubt if he doesn't get it sorted though he will look at players from elsewhere.

Not to mention, when your manager is one of the best strikers of a football in the last 30 years, if he can't help our strikers to improve their technique, who can....

Kenwyne Jones & Didier Drogba on the radar according to the rags.

That's the type of striker that DOES excite me.

Slim chance to get someone like Drogba but who thought we'd have Mark Hughes as our gaffer?

He'd injure himself and be out for 6 months....

Perhaps Hughes could show Dyer how to kick a ball without breaking his foot.....

Hasn't looked sh!t when I've seen him. Big strong, great header of the ball & when played regularly has a decent scoring record.

Stoke fans would #### him off he's a bit part player under Tony Pulis & he has Jon Walters & Crouchy as his first choice strikers.

He has attributes. Some players just go stale & need a fresh start under a new manager at a new club.

All about opinions I guess but defo a player I think could do a job for us.

Agreed! We've got some pretty good attacking players and I'm hoping their form will improve under Hughes. We need to build from the back.

I don't think it's unfathomable. We all know the transfer fee is going to be minimal, so it all comes down to wages. Tony wants a player that can build the club's profile, that being what the Beckham thing was all about and Tony must have realised he would have had to push the boat out in terms of wages for him, so I don't see why he wouldn't for Drogba. Sure, he doesn't have the same brand recognition Beckham does, but he's still one of the biggest names in football. Could keep us up too!

I really like him. Quite versatile.
