  • Is Tony Fernandes a bit of a god send?

I just cannot get my head around why Tony's come to QPR and is doing what he's doing. I mean I understand that QPR is a club he likes very much after he lived near the ground while he was growing up.

But Tony could of bought a club with a big ground and a great training ground so why QPR where he has to buy it all?

It seems to me like AirAsia & Team Lotus that Tony likes to pick up a small project and grow that project into something big, I love what he does and no wonder people on his twitter love him because he's just a great guy and a great role model.

After the last 15 years we've had and on top of that Flavio & Bernie, things like this just don't happen to my (our) football club, Tony is making QPR a real force again and potentially a really big club in the future. To me Tony Fernandes is just a total god send!

    iHala Tony Fernandes!
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million

Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

All I know is that he's a man who likes to build from bottom up.

He did it with Air Asia, Caterham F1 & now QPR.

Put it this way he knows what he's doing and can't ask for more. At least with QPR he has the help from Amit as well which makes a great team.

its actually quite a smart buy by him.

West-NW london catchment area can be owned by QPR quite easily if we're established in the premierhsip for a few years. Thats a few million people and more than clubs like liverpool and manchester get from natives.

He will then market the crap out of the club in Asia using his existing contacts.

finally the premiership is the most watched league specially in asia. sponsoring QPR's shirts is a very cheap way to raise the profile of his own brands in his own native market.

If he plays this well, he will actually make money out of QPR for his other business interests and as a knock on effect (its a pre-requisite to his plan working) make QPR into a big club...

If tony's plan works QPR fans are in for a treat.

                    And if it doesn't work?

We were courting him to invest in us, but ruddy Delia stupidly blocked it as he wanted total control.
