  • Zamora

I see sky have just opened an account for him to move and have marked us as the favourites for his destinations!

Would he be a good signing? My only worry wih some of the names banded about is that they are all fairly old, all around 30 plus and I'm sure they could do a job but to pay large sums of money and only get a year or twos service is worrying to me!

Would be good for survival. Then we can properly look to push on in the summer. Our only aim right now is to stay in the premier league and I reckon zamora would get us a few goals.

      Zamora

I have it on good authority that Zamora's ankle is shot and that is why all the bad blood rumours went around so Foolham could get shot. The word barge pole springs to mind.

We need someone who can score goals, not a hold-up player.

Why not take a punt on Jordan Rhodes?

If you know where the net is - you know where the net is. Doen't really matter if you are playing in the conference or PL (according to my simplistic logic).

Well given the fact they've already turned down about £4m, then you would need to pay at least £5m to get him, which is more than a punt for an unproven player.

AS for your logic, yes it works to a point, he knows where the net is and can finish, the difference is that in league 1 he's far sharper and cleverer than the defenders markling him. In the prem the defenders are top / world class and will know every trick in the book, and he won't get anywhere near as many chances.

I see Zamora as a risk as well, very hot and cold player for me. One of those players I look at and think how has he made it? Would much rather take the bigger gamble (with others' money!) on young Mr Rhodes.
