I think you need to look up Helguson's record only a few years ago at Watford.
55/174 Games for Watford
he scored 3 goals in 7 games on loan for us
Surprise this season will be Balanta in my opinionALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

it's easy saying we should do this or do that....but have you personally tried to sign a player that many teams could be chasing?

You cannot be serious about Lita or Morrison
If Lita was that good Coppell would have played him and morrison didn't exactly score many goals for Coventry. Not sure about McGoldrick, but Southampton got relegated.
Tarrabt and Faurlin are better than Parejo and LedesmaALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

personally i still think we need to be looking at a left back above all else now - even if borrowdale doesn't turn out to be a disaster we've nothing in the way of competition. for £1.6m or so we should be right in there with forest for fox.... :anger:
one thing i will say about the strikers though is that a million quid does seem like a lot of money for this pellicori fella, if that really is the case. all strikers are gambles of course but couldnt we gamble that money a little better?

Sam, Just ignore them. You should be safe in your knowledge that we needed a goalscorer last season and we still do now. DJ has the record at this level and I hope we've not given up on him.
Still, if we don't get one we can look forward to Pete backtracking on one up front as 3-6-1 will be the only possible combination to suit our squad wit its 2,000 midfielders!

Reading this thread, it seems the usual suspects are coating off the strikers and attacking midfielders on the basis of the total lack of goals scored last year. Ironically, most of those usual suspects are the same people that said it was a disgrace getting rid of Sousa as he was clearly a top manager building a winning team etc...
Funny how most of the players referred to scored goals in more attacking formations the season before. Personally, I think it's a disgrace that so many think Sousa was a great manager just because he was a great player........please someone, show me the stats of his managerial career that point to his Fergusonesque ability.
We will not only finish above Swansea this season, we will score goals, play good quality football and be entertained.
