No way we will get Drogba. His agent has openly said: "Milan came in for Didier, but I said no straight away. Their offer, for a loan with an option to buy, did not interest us.
He's had the offer of a one-year extension from Chelsea, but that does not suit us. At his age, he has nothing left to prove as a player.
Once you are well into your thirties, you have to go to a club where you can be certain you'll be able to pay your bills."

Didier Drogba is ready to quit Chelsea after rejecting their latest offer of a one-year deal. The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.

With the money the clubs in America, China & the Middle East will be able to throw at him, we dont have a chance.

He must be struggling with the rise in energy prices!

You know it. I'm sure after earning in excess of £100k per week basic wage for the past 4 or 5 years the poor bloke is remortgaging his house as we speak....

Probably nothing to do with the cut the agent gets of his wage every week though.... Greedy greedy ba$tard.

I think the comment about being able to pay your bills is incredibly stupid from his agent. For someone who's for years earnt £100k+ / week, and obviously will never in his life have issues paying bills, it's almost mocking joe public who ultimately pay him those ludicrous wages and who will struggle to pay their bills......

Drogba would be the worst possible signing for us.
He is old, spiteful and lazy. Close our doors to this journeyman.

                        Old? Helgusons doing just fine.
Spiteful? Our skipper wont be winning the Nobel Peace Prize anytime soon.
                        Lazy? Adel.

Roll all 3 attributes into 1 goal machine and, personally, would welcome him with open arms.
Wont ahppen though so we wont have to worry about that.

I have to agree. He wants a 2 year deal at Chelsea or he is going to China for the money.......... good player when he wants to play but not for me.

Bit of a sore subject for many it would seem, and probably pointless as if he goes for money it will be to the middle east no doubt, however, if they managed to pursuade him to come to us then i would welcome it.

He is one striker who you could say would guarantee goals, unlike similar comments in the past about Crouch et al. He is a beast of a forward, regardless whether people like him or not.

As for how much he's worth, well if he scored 10+ goals in the remaining games which kept us up, well £60m is your answer... so would a few million and a 2 year deal really be that unfeasible?

                              well

well the only thing that is on the boards mind is to hold there premiership status,if drogba could give us the goals for the next three seasons than maybe he would be a good purchase at 5 million,of course i would rather buy youth,ie jorden rhodes but what if drogba did come in ,i just hope we dont do another hately ,there was a player who was purchased and his old legs had gone he just couldnt hack it anymore in the prem
