If Tarrabt signs on loan then IMO I think we have made the biggest coup of the transfer window in the CCC this summer. If you would have asked me at the start of the summer if we could sign one player who would it be, I'd have said this guy. The most skillful player I have ever seen in a Rangers shirt worth the entrance fee alone on his day.....lack of ambition on our part? No
When I met Paulo Sousa on a train in Chiswick a while back after he was sacked I asked him about our chances of signing Tarrabt and he laughed at me and told me no chance because he was a Premiership Player....lack of ambition on our part? No
If the signing of Faurlin doesn't represent ambition then what does, we've paid Inter Milan 500k compensation for christ sake on top of a fee thought to be in the region of 500k to £1 million.....lack of ambition on our part? No
The 3 players who have been sold I'd have gladly sold for half the price...£2 million for Blackstock, 750k for the Delaney (how the **** did that happen?). We'd have recouped around £3 million for 3 players who quite frankly most have said weren't good enough all last season. Keeping hold of these players would represent a lack of ambition, selling them to me means we are moving on and looking towards the future......lack of ambition on our part? No
Our wage bill has been criticised by many but it is a perferct example of how ambitious the club are. Yeah we signed a few overpaid duds but in the CCC a club like QPR has to pay top dollar to compete with the likes of your Wolves, Birminghams, Boros, Newcastles, West Broms, Sheff Utds, Leicesters and even Readings of this world......lack of ambition on our part? No
At the end of the day you don't attract and keep the likes of Buzsaky, Cerny, Connolly, Routledge, Gorkks, Legiertwood etc at the club if you don't have ambition
why are they still here?.....lack of ambition on our part? No
I'm sick to death of listening to people harp on about lack of signings, ambition, poor season ticket sales etc etc. It really seems that there are those amongst us who seem to look for a reason to hate the club for whatever reason.
One poster today is talking about us being relegation fodder becasue HH has been given the number 9 shirt, another thread started talks about lack of ambition and moderators had to step in to stop a couple of numbskulls harping on continuosly about a mid table Forest squad earlier this week.
By the start of the season this will probably be our strongest squad since we got relegated from the PL, I'm astounded how short peoples memories are. This isn't about being positive, its about being realsitic, trying to understand the economics of the club and appreciating what infrastructure has been put in place up to now. Mistakes have been made by the club and they have been well documented and for some people its all they seem to focus on.
I'm very excited about the new season, I think at full strength this year we have real chance to push for the Promotion but I guess I'm the eternal optimist and I won't be shy in letting those negative members know exactly what I think of their opinions when we are on the march with Magiltons Blue and White Army! :boss:
