excellent news! Just hope he has enough time to bring in players, and hope its more than "1 or 2". Great manager to have, but very limited squad at the moment

I'm really happy with his appointment now having given it some thought. Just looking at the rolling photos of him in his playing days and it's easy to forget just how brilliant a player he was, and how much respect he must carry in the game. Not to mention all the contacts he must have with clubs / players / agents etc... should serve us well.

Plus the fact that there may be some decent foreign players who we may be interested in who will know of him and want to play fo him. No disrespect to NW, who worked wonders, but he would never have that effect.

My favourite striker of all time!!
Sir Les,Lineker and Givens up there as well.

This is why I could never do this as I'd be off to the pub to celebrate....and would probably make it back for the newcastle game on sunday.

Is that why the board binned your CV?
