That´s true. And eventually this; call it naivity as well, turned out to be his Waterloo.
Sadly enough..QPR
Best team in the world

Warnock was far from perfect, but I totally agree with what he has written in the article.:drunk:

I recall Neil saying early in the season something like, ''we're gonna enjoy it, we'll have a go and try to win every game'' I thought at the time it was a bit niave, and experienced managers of teams in the prem know, like Newcastle and Villa this year, that you plan to play just for a point away sometimes, and get to the 40 to survive tactically and cleverly.

He has some valid points, but to say that QPR were close to winning all of the last eight games is not one of them.
How close were QPR to beating Liverpool (they hardly got out of their own half) or Man Utd, Arsenal?
QPR were unlucky against WBA and perhaps home to Norwich, but could easily have been 3 down at home to Sunderland. Swansea's goal was handball, but they should also have had a stonewall penalty.
A new manager does not always work and Maark Hughes will need to better his start at Fulham, if he is to have a realistic chance of avoinding relegation. I think they won somethink like 1 out of his 1st 8 games.

If Warnock is to learn from any of this, he needs to find a footballing friend (not one of the sycophants he has around him at present) who will tell him some home truths. I certainly haven't walked away from recent games thinking we should have won! Thanks for last season but time to move on.

I don't think they did get it wrong. Obviously things weren't rightUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
