He wouldn't have been my first choice but the more I've read about him the more I think he could be the right man at the right time. Will obviously be backed in the market which will be good and most of the players we've been linked with are bizarrely at his previous clubs so many may have liked playing for him and be keen.

Looked far from a "done deal" to me. Talks on-going is what he said several times.

It'll be interesting to see what TF is doing to entice the man. I think Hughes will want backing. Not with silly money, but £15-20m to bring in the sort of players needed. It's gonna have to be that sort of dough now Ali is out.
