Didn't MH say that fulham weren't big enough for him? If he's appointed, so be it. I always thought that he was a bit arrogant and had the feeling that he thought small clubs were beneath his managerial level.

Maybe they have sold him on the big vision.... 45k Mittal stadium, West London dominance etc etc etc....

Given that he openly walked from Fulham as wanted a club with ambition, then surely he wouldn't entertain QPR, unless they had seriously made some assurances about funding, investment, plans etc.... all promising.

Either way if he did get £20m (can't see it) he will spend £18m on Santa Cruz and £2m on agent fee for the deal....

He was after the Villa job at the time
A blog of my first season ticket, and QPR's return to the Premiership after 15 years

I'm hoping we had some deals down the line and Hughes will come in and say that he still wants them, lets go after them still (I'm thinking Chelsea's Alex here)
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

He left to force the Villa issue, he really thought that was his job, but Learner had other ideas, namely cost cutting.

Is he still at the ground? 2 hours and counting - maybe he's sorting out the first of the signings as well

Mark Hughes was convinced we were the right club to join as soon as he had watched "the four year plan" documentary.
