I know nothing about football.
I have no inside knowledge, have never been to a football match, and never spoken to a professional footballer in my life.
BUT ....
I have read this message board for the past while, so I know everything that you lot know. And I have these comments to make:
We seemed to be struggling for confidence, cohesive team, goals and crucially points under Neil Warnock. This was clearly not a good situation to be in, and we are getting closer to 18 position with each game. Something had to change. Tony Fernandes has come along, put up money to buy some players and pay for their wages. Ultimately, it is his and the boards say who is manager, and he clearly felt that things with Neil Warnock did not look good for the future and our survival. So we now need a manager who will be given a transfer budget to keep us up. I don't know who that person is, it could be the Queen Mother for all I know, but it has been mentioned before that a new manager brings new hope to a club and somehow that club then go on to be difficult to play against and pick up points. Let us hope.
Last point is about Rafa Benitez. He did win some trophies at Liverpool, including the Champions League, but he also inherited a team that had just won the treble including the Champions League & domestic league, and complained to the owner that he needed to spend heavily to win things despite having the very same players who had done so well the previous season.
I wonder whether this situation will attract 1000 posts. As I said, I don't know enough about football, but I hope we can get in a manager who will start winning games and save us from relegation at the end of the season.

Its quite interesting looking around the messageboards today to see fans blaming each other for Warnocks dismissal and no surprise at all that this site is now in the firing line from a certain quarter
Each site has I reckon about the same proportion of those who wanted him to stay or to be sacked and to start insinuating that any particular board is to blame is quite frankly pathetic
As much as I wanted to see Warnock stay I have seen countless managers come and go over the years and to put it bluntly we have to move on and give whoever is given the job our full support
No point in blaming each other or other sites for the sake of it as it gets us nowhere and the club needs our full united support more then ever if we are to stay up
