I would say an amicable agreement/ pay off was reached with Warnock last Thursday/ Friday and Hughes accepted the job earlier today . ...

Let the dust settle out of respect for Warnock and announce Hughes on Tuesday !!!

I'd heard that Friday morning was when it was all agreed/decided, but at that stage it was agreed that he should take the team to MK. Don't know when the team found out but, looking at the way they played yesterday, I bet they knew beforehand.
