  • Was it the right decision?

I'm still not convinced. I can see why they've done it, but I think he deserved a go with some money. He took us up. He got us Joey, SWP, Traore and the likes. He's coached Faurlin into a class talent. He has helped keep Adel's feet on the ground, and turn him into more of a team player than he was.

I just hope they know what they're doing as the s**t will hit the fan if the next appointment doesn't work out.

Either way, I still think it's a harsh sacking, albeit one that I can just about understand. Ultimately I think he's misuse of SWP and reluctance to rest Mackie has cost him, but let's be fair...our defence was shocking and if he was allowed to shore that up, we'd have been fine. He's been let down by a few of his close friends at the club here.

All the best for the future now. Time to knock it all on the head and enjoy life I reckon.

agreed benny-deserved this window in-fairness. End of the day we support rangers and not who's in the hotseat. Give it time mate and the same moaners will rear their heads about something else.

Great post Benny, pretty much sums up my thoughts. Personally would have kept him, but can see the other side of the argument and from a few whispers I am hearing it seems things went on behind the scenes we dont know about which have lead to his sacking.

At the end of the day, I trust Amit & Tony to make the best decision for the clubs future.

He had lost the dressing room, forget all else. Once that happens there is no going back.

Never the right decision should have been given the chance to buy.
Well whoever the new man is TF had better supply him with enough money because we have players in that squad that are nowhere near prem standard, and are equally responsible for this mess.New man will discover what Warnock was working with and I wonder whether he'll put up with tarrabt.
Lets hope TF don't just go around putting in ridiculously low bids for players to make it look like we're serious

I feel normally new PL clubs get rid of their managers to fast. I believe it's down to the players not beeing good enough. Give NW 10 PL-players and it'd look better..now he's got how many, 3-4-5? The rest of them are Championship players, hence the results over time.

I'm with Benny on this one, not convinced..

i would imagine with all 3 goin g they have someone already lined up,
i suppose the question is if was your money and you were not sure if he was the future , would you give it to him?
obv tf didnt trust him to spend it either wisely or do whats right with the players he gets in.
the person taking the biggest risk here is tf, getting shot of warnock and team must have been pretty expensive and no doubt the new boys even more so once you inc the no doubt promised funds

time will tell whether were going down and now warnock not here will never know what would have happened, obv this board split between those who think he will have saved us and those who believeed would take us down

but your right its those hes been most loyal too have been the ones to let him down

I would never have had the balls to fire Warno but at the end of the day we have to back Tony 100% to get it right. Just hope he does.

Perhaps the results weren't the only reason for parting ways? (Will be interesting to see if Warnock goes back to managment)

Warnock brought in Barton, Wright Philips, Ferndinand, Bothroyd & DJ Campbell and so far they've done nothing for the club, so surely he's got his tactics wrong. Clubs like Norwich and Swansea would of dreamed of having them players at the start of the season

And they were signed before the money. Do you genuinely think they'd be here otherwise?

I can understand both sides of the argument, but for me, the time was right.

Warnock has been a great manager for us, and deserves a huge amount of praise for that. But i think things were starting to go wrong and if we had left it any longer we may not have had enough time to pull things round.

Our PL status is of the utmost importance and I think this was the right thing to do, although a sad day seeing how much NW achieved.

Warnock has been let down massively by all new signings other than AF, LY and Traore
