but Adel was clearly not in NW plans so why would this make a difference to him the new manager may get on with him?

Was just gonna say that oompah - give it a few weeks for the new bloke to realise what we've got, how little work rate some players have and what they offer and bang, Mackie starting every week and they are gonna be crying like girls. Not to mention that no other manager is going to have Adel in the team because they simply won't be prepared to sacrifice every other footballing requirement to play to his strengths.
