  • What is going on?

Forgetting the whole sack Warnock for the moment, I am looking at whether we actually need a load of players or are tactics and formation all wrong?

The last 6 weeks I have noticed the following, please tell me if I'm seeing things or you agree.

    1) we fail to deal with simple defensive duties, marking men , winning the 1s ball and clearing lines. Especially set piece defending, Sunderland, Norwich etc.

    2) why does our midfield part like Jordan's legs. Carrick, Morrison, pilkington, all strolled through us right down the centre unchallenged to score. No tackles, no bite, simply open up. Even Luke. CHadwick was doing it yesterday!!

    3) without Taraabt , going forward we simply have no idea, the ball is passed side to side then back without any penetration or final ball. No runs from strikers or movement.

    4) our last couple of goals have come from long hopeful punts upfield, is that what Warnock knows best and is reverting to?

    Need answers.

agree with all 4 points m8 and its amazing how bad we are doing stuff that we was brilliant at last year. I know its a better quality of opposition and maybe quite a few of our players are short of premiership quality but we really do look like we have gone backward. We have become a long ball team when last year we actually played some entertaining football.

1)We do have to similar types in midfield. Too slow.

2)He constantly plays people out of position.

3)Anton Ferdinand definitly needs a realiable cb alongside him. Gabbidon is not that bad,but still not good enough. His first touch is woeful.

      4) SWP is a right winger and NOTHING ELSE.

      5) The strikers have to act first defenders

      etc.etc.

We have terrible defenders, and that has to be changed as a matter of urgency. I keep saying I'll back Warnock to the end, but if I'm honest, the end might not be so bad right now.

The only problem with that is who do we replace him with? I genuinely can't see how much more Mark Hughes has to offer.

To answe your question Jeffro we have a group of players who can keep us up. NW tactics of playing player out of positions and continue repeating the same mistakes have lead to players' confidence being low and now NW is trying to cover for his mistakes by claiming we need 5 new players. How the hell could Swansea and Norwich cope well with Championship players? Even Norwich signed Pilkington from Huddersfield and he has been impressive. How could Lamberd make him a class PL player and SWP has become cr@p lacking ball conntrol and balance under NW management?

What´s your opinion on Steve Coppel or Chris Hughton?
            I just wonder.

I will always be grateful for what Warnock has done as I will if Adel leaves, but I really think maybe the players have lost confidence in him and he seem bereft of ideas.

Benny, Hughes did well at blackburn and fulham, whilst I can't comment on how tactically aware the is, one thing I do know is that SParky will deffo iron out and attitude and ALL player will respect him and not undermine as you and I both know goes on currently.

Players are like any other employee they put effort in some days and for some managers on others they simply do not fancy it. Please do not quote what they earn, professional etc the fact is the same players looked very good when they first came in but a few weeks under Warnock and well?

Lots of rumours about unrest but look at the players body language, the comments by some on here and Ian Wright and think the problem is clear. Just can't understand why some on here are so loyal to him after all he walked out on Palace for us and has made what many believe to be mistake after mistake and has no pedigree in the Prem

all of the points above are down to coaching and management.
if the team looked like a team and looked like they were giving it a go every match, then no one could really complain with the results we have had, and warnock wouldnt be coming under so much critisism.
                  unfortunately thats not the case

wouldnt have thought Warnock the type of manager to be undermined..

Can't say too much, but From what I'm told by someone me and benny both know, seems Ian wright is on the head with what's going on.

We don't even have the fight or passion that comes as a given with any Warnock team....

I ll back Warnock while he's here and always be grateful, but as bendy says maybe its time for a change.

Agree with all the points. Are we zonal marking? We never seem to be on the man at corners or if not he gets away from his marker easily. Also I've never seen a team that let's players run at them without putting pressure on them, if someones running towards you goal you don't let him but we do every time.
