lack of shooting our defence and key players

cant help but notice that we dont shoot at goal any more, we seem to continue to try and walk the ball into the net !! as seen from match of the day many a goal was scored by shooting into a crowded box !! we have strikers that have in the past proved they can find the net !! our are strikers worried to take a shot incase the other team break with the ball against our deffence ? if so we need to sort out the deffence to allow the strikers to play there part.
we have to also remember that we are missing some very key players
