is whatever he does he's likely to be criticised.
What are his options:
1) Sack Neil, get new man in and money to spend. Majority of fans will be against this and he'll no doubt suffer the usual abuse from the fans on match days.....especially if results don't go our way. Also, is there enough time for a new man to get players in?
2) Keep Neil and give him money to spend. If we stay up then great. If we go down, we are well and truly up the creak with no paddle......who's going to foot the bill? You again Tony I'm afraid. But don't worry, the players and Neil will still get paid
3) Keep Neil and give him no money to spend. We'll go down but we'll be better off financially. However, the "fans" will say Neil wasn't given a chance.
If I was him, I'd choose 3). He has spent money. We get <18k each home game and we need to pay players 50k + a week to get premiership quality players in that might keep us up. Barton, SWP, Ferdinand, Young....they'll all be on more than the players Norwich and Swansea bought and look how they're doing.
