We put in a bid for a sought after player that we know wont be accepted and probably wont want to join us...everybody loves fernandes and says look at how ambitious he is...we end up with a very average player and fernandes escapes all blame. Smart.
Stop it. Ridicoulus thing to say before the window has shut. Let's see what happens.

About that statement: Any player can be sold for the right price.

How is it a ridiculous thing to say? We did the same thing with parker in the summer, made a bid we knew wouldn't be accepted and made it public to make Fernandes look good. I think we've probably done the same with Samba here, you don't publicise the price you've bid for a player. Most of our signings are undisclosed, we haven't even signed Samba and the price is out. Wonder why.

Warnock claimed after the signing of Barton that he was his no.1 target. I don't know about that but the signing of Barton was one hell of a signing. Your comparison is rediculous because we got our supposed man last window.

Warnock still wanted him and it was a bigger signing, of course he's going to say Barton was his number 1. He's not going to sign Barton and say 'we wanted parker but we'll have to make do with joey'. We knew we weren't getting parker for the price offered (similar price offered and competing with the same club so its a very good comparison) but everyone was banging on about how Fernandes was going to sign xyz and how we were going to finish mid table etc. We dont make transfer fee's public knowledge unless we want to, Samba's price was made public due to the club wanting the fans knowing about it and obviously this will spur Tottenham on to make a bigger bid, this wasn't a serious offer, if it was it would have been kept private. Was only done to appease the fans IMO.

Because it's more than likely to be true....Dont worry though we're going to sign Hoilett, Samba, Alex, Messi and Ronaldo this transfer window

Blackburn are in deep doo doo financially. Just look at this 18 page thread on their debt at http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/.../page__st__340

They need to sell. Roberts and Salgado are not being played because appearance clauses kick in. They are down.
