  • What's the latest with Alex?

I know it's a long shot but if anyone really does know, what's the latest with the Alex?
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

IF stories are true and we've made off and had talks, I imagine he's waiting to see what other offers are out there before he commits. He doesn't need to rush into 3 year contract.

If Fernandes really backs Warnock he should be here quite soon.

Lad I know who works at the filth says he has been offered big money to join that Russian side where Eto is.

One of the kitchen staff at my work is the nanny for Alex's kids. She wasn't in today, so couldn't ask her. Will ask tomorrow.

He lives in the flats overlooking the river at Imperial Wharf. He could jump on the Overground to the Bush for games.

              Would be a top signing.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

What a great signing he would be.

Funky on 1882 thinks we need to see what Chelsea do with Cahill first, but surely Alex just isn't in AVB's plans so it doesn't matter?

Avnet has made it clear he's no longer part of their plans

Cahill deal shoul have nothing to do with it

Exactly what i'm thinking. It's brilliant that the club are tight on transfer news but since Gianni left it's been a little boring on the transfer news on the forums to be honest

It matters not what Chelsea do with Cahill (who they will sign) as Alex has already been told he is surplus to requirement, training next door with the ressies and youth before Christmas.
