  • Anyone not going Saturday due to principles?

I have sought of dreaded the day when we finally got to play MK Dons as I am completely against the whole idea of franchise football but funnily enough when we got drawn against them in the cup it all went out of the window as bottom line it is QPR I am going to watch hopefully progress to the next round and I would have gone regardless of the opposition

Is anyone else sticking to their guns though and genuinely not going because of the history and not simply because they cannot be arsed anyway

I lived at one point in Wimbledon and knew many original Wimbledon fans, I don't know what they are doing now but all seemed to me to be the type who would now be following AFC if anyone.
I would be going anyway as its QPR like you say, but will gain real pleasure in beating the plastic dons.

On the basis NW dont care about the FA Cup and wll play a B team full of players he will be releasing, why bother unless you want to tick of a new ground. The simple fact that MKD or 19/10 to win speaks volumes. If he had any brains he would play the strongest team possible to get a win under the belt and stop the rot and for the 5,000+ QPR fans going.

I don't think 5,500 QPR fans bought tickets to just tick it off the list and watch a B team lose Paul.

I'm going although originally thought I would never watch Franchise FC on principle, and if this tie had come up say, three years ago, I would probably have stuck to that decision. But how far (and for how long) can you stretch a principle? If we were to meet MK Dons in a cup final at Wembley or a play-off semi final or championship title decider at Milton Keynes how many Rs fans would boycott the match? Not many I suspect.

Will be there as per usual.

Another ground to see & more importantly support our team.

Not expecting a result though I can't lie. I feel he will play fringe players to rest others for Prem games which I can see back firing. Don't think the FA Cup is on his most important list tbh.

For me, it's another ground to visit and to cheer on the team. I'm not sure if NW wants to win this one, but it's a good opportunity to put a long-awaited victory on the board.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'm not going. Not for the reasons above though. Financial reasons. It is January and I'd rather save the pennies to go to Newcastle and Aston Villa away instead.

My last away game until I get back into work. Luckily got my ST for home games otherwise that would have to be put on hold too.

Neil Warnock insists he will show the FA Cup the respect it deserves this weekend.

Rangers lock horns with in-form League One side MK Dons on Saturday afternoon and the R's boss admits he doesn't foresee making wholesale changes for a competition he 'wants to win.'

Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Warnock said: "I don't see us making many changes.

"I want to try and win the Cup this season. It's not like the Carling Cup - everyone wants to win this one.

"I like the FA Cup - it's a great competition. This is a great game to look forward to.

"MK Dons are a top, top side in their division and play some fantastic football.

"We're taking around 5,000 fans with us so it's definitely a game we want to win."

I am not going out of principle. It hurts to miss out on a new ground, but I swore I would never give them a penny when they moved to mk and will stand by that.

I have a season ticket but wound up pretty sick in hospital for a month and a half missing Chelsea and all away games bar Arsenal.

As such I have not seen us win this season.

                        Wouldn't mind recitifying that.

I hate MK Dons and what they represent. What better way to combat that than for the lads to give them a shoeing and put them in their place
A blog of my first season ticket, and QPR's return to the Premiership after 15 years

It is all irrelevant now. AFC have won all the history back from MK. They should drop the word Dons cos it ain't them now. We are playing a newly formed team and we are gonna beat em !!
