I think any club that started well and then goes into free-fall will always be a journalist's dream. Not much else going on apart from the Rooney story, so lets start speculation on QPR.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

OT but why do so many people, including journalists, say 'The Venkys'? Venkys is a company name not a family - we wouldn't say "The Asdas have bought out The Safeways" would we? ;)

But I'm sure that people seem to think 'The Venkys' are a family or some kind of clan?

IMO, cant see anybody doing that.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Didn't the Morrisons buy out the Safeways?

In all seriousness....if TF is reluctant to give NW transfer funds, why are all these players being mooted and "transfer bids lodged"

This is NW's defining moment in deciding his fate...

If players come in, lift the team and we start getting results then great! But if we have more falling outs and dressing room unrest, he will be packing up his desk...

                  Eastcote

Hand on heart if TF sacked Warnock tomorrow I would predict that you would have 85% + of support backing his decision. Not because they want Warnock out but more for the fact that he has done so much for us in such a small space of time & our future & best interest are more important than Neil Warnock.

                  My view anyway.

Here's the dilemma. Sack him now and get a new manager in will mean problems in terms of a new guy settling in. It will take time.

Withhold the transfer budget and we're gone.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

The press read these boards to quote from a source ,this board included and we have enough Pr/ts on here to feed their headline warnocks job unsafe , this from, a qpr source !!

If NW is going he MUST go NOW.

If he doesn't go before the window and isn't backed we are heading down.

We all know that Warnock makes some strange team selections, plays one up front at home against mediocre opposition, has his favourite players (not based on skill), has very little tactical awareness, makes the most baffling substitutions and has no plan B if a game changes, but surely we should take great heart, when we're feeling down and confused, when we see his post match interview after another defeat, and hear his rallying summation of "I thought it were a great game, me!"

                            no smoke w/o fire IMO

He got to go. Carry on with transfer targets, tell new man if stay up he can get his own players in may.

                              This sounds plausible.
TBH, if Warnock has to go now we are doomed.
Not a single deal will be sanctioned, I fear.:yush:
