  • Barton and Newcastle

Is it me or do you get the feeling that he still wishes he was there. After Newcastles 3-0 win over utd he said on his twitter he was buzzing for the lads, also in a qprpodcast he spoke alot about Newcastle the problems there and how he didnt get on with Ashley etc. Seems like hes living in the past a bit.
Only one of the voices in my head is crazy...

Everything he says/does gets scrutinized too much in my opinion. Brings it on himself by putting himself in the public eye as much as he does. Just for the record, Routledge also tweeted about Newcastle's win today and Ramage often tweets about how the Toon/us are getting on.. think it's a common thing for players to be fond of their ex clubs and want them to do well, providing they left on good terms, as Barton did - with the players and management at least.

problem is he's never 'buzzing' after a qpr win. Or at least doesn't show it

Agree he gets scrutinised a lot but he loves it otherwise why tweet 24/7 to near on 1,000,000 followers?! but its true he has a love in with them as Warnock had a year & a half love in with Palace after joining us.

Annoying but the way it is I guess.

That's not true, he's tweeted lots of positive stuff after our rare victories.

Don't worry he will make a lot of nice tweets about QPR after leaving.

He does make tweets when we win and is always gutted at bad results. Ex QPR players tweet about us even though they are at different club. I'm sure it hard to switch off 100% from any feelings. I'm sure he would have played his sox off against them.

Fitz Hall tweeting about Newcastle last night goes under the radar.

Routledge was at it as well...wonder if Swansea fans care?

Difference with Joey was that he didn't want to leave them and he didn't want to come to QPR. In fact he did everything he could to delay hoping anyone else would come in, but no one wanted him, even for free.

So we make him Captain to keep him happy.
