Interesting to see that opinion on here is divided on whether or not to sack Warnock, however the poll on here, and those on other sites, show that only around 10% want this to happen. There are three possible solutions -
Firstly everyone gets behind Neil, he gets plenty of cash to spend and he sees the season through.
Secondly, he is given until the end of February to prove his worth, then make a change if results don't improve,
and lastly, change the manager now, let him bring in 4 or 5 of 'his' players and go with it.
Personally, my head says opt for the second scenario. Warnock does deserve a chance to turn things around, but equally PL survival is vital for the club going forward. Should we not do this, will we still hear talk of a new training ground, new stadium etc etc? I fear not.
My heart, however, says stay with Neil until the end of the season. I think we all differ on this from time to time, some days we want a change, the next day certain other results go for us, and we think the opposite! So what is the answer? Do we really want to sit by and watch our beloved QPR fall back down again and into the downwards spiral that is relegation or do we demand a change if results don't improve?
One thing we all seem to be missing here is that although recent results have gone against us, we are only one win away from where we need to be. 20 points from 21 games, and we'll be on track for survival. We may not be able to predict or see where this 'extra' win will come from, but who would have predicted wins at Everton and Stoke? Blackburn have shown that any team can get a result against the big teams, whose to say we won't pull one of these 'shock' results out of the bag. We could win at United, at home to Spurs and Liverpool. Its been done before.
I'm not sure what the answer is, but as someone posted elsewhere, we have stability now at our club, and for those who state backroom problems, every club has those. Stability and team spirit, one of Neil's definite strong points, might just see us safe. All I do know is that had we beaten Sunderland or Norwich we would not be discussing this issue.
