  • Jason Puncheon has returned to Southampton

following his loan spell at Loftus Road.

Meanwhile Hogan Ephraim has returned from his loan spell at Charlton Athletic

In my opinion Hogan Ephraim could do a better job than mackie

What a pointless signing Puncheon was.

As much as I like Hogan for his effort, professionalism and attitude, I can never see him making it as a Prem player, just too weak IMO.

Would rather Hogan than Mackie also.

      Deserves a shot.

I thought Ephraim did well against Everton
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I would have Hogan over Mackie also. At least he knows when to pass the ball and doesn't just run into players and lose it, or out of play. He also has a much better touch than Mackie. How many times of late has there been a chance for Mackie to get clear but his first touch has been shocking.

Hogan is also a very composed finisher. He was very good against Everton when on the pitch.

I don't want to be depressing but Kaspars Gorkss is doing really well for Reading, another player i cant understand why we got rid off seeing we have been really short at the back

Blimey what is it with people's obsession with the term "too lightweight". It's irrelevant if lightweight or not as to whether someone can do well. Were the likes of Giggs, Best etc 18 stone or something.....

Before anyone says anything, I'm not comparing ability, only frame.

And for what it's worth, players are more likely to get clattered in the lower league than the prem anyway, just to further highlight what a pointless statement it is.

Disagree there, Mackie is stronger, can score a goal too. Also has made a couple of goals too.
By no way do I think Mackie is good enough long term, but certainly a better bet Than Hogan, who is too light weight, doesnt score , doesnt assist, just runs around a lot.

                            Absolute nail on the head.

Players in the Prem are physically stronger and quicker than lower league players, its no coincidence that Hogan did well at Charlton, in League 1.

I would bet my house that after a few games in the side you would all be ripping Hogan to pieces.
