People continually go on about the need for goal line technology in the Premier League. I think we need to go much further than that and make full use of the significant amount of tv cameras we have in the stadium.
Rugby has an official up in the stands. That is where she should place the fourth official. Tv pundits and televisions can often see correctly within seconds when an error has been made. The fourth official should be gijven access to this footage also and allowed to provide evidence tco a ref.
I know people say that this would slow down the game etc, however if only used for match changing events then I think the fans would accept the 30 sec wait omnce or twice in a game.
