We signed Dex when we were truly poor. Now we've moved on but sadly, he hasn't.
I got fed up to the back teeth hearing about how the death of Ray Jones affected him. It was awful and Im sure it did affect Dex but it was nearly TWO years ago and he hasnt got over it yet??? Sorry, if you're a professional in any career, you just have to separate personal and professional issues and do what you get paid for. It's harsh but its life and Dex will never get to the level that we aspire, he just wont!
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

    2015/2016, average at best.....

    2016/2017, same old, same old....

    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

We live in a democracy and I feel that I should be able to express my delight over the sale of Blackstock. It is good for him and good for the club just MHO
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Thats fair, everyone has different opinions but dont say "dont get involved" when someone has a different opinion and then demand respect.

Dex wasnt/isnt the best, but he did well for us when we needed him, lets hope the money is used to sign a replacement.

He seemed to get over it by scoring 11 goals in the 1st half of the season.

            Just an opinion of course.

Good luck to him shame some of our supporters fail to realsise what a loss this is.

Anyway thanks for the memories Mr Blackstock you scored some great goals for the club which saved our bacon on many occasions.

                Good luck for the future.

from 2006-2009 he scored 30 goals in 109 app
In his worst season he scored just 6.
Hardly impressive stats if you want to go down this road.

                    Depressing?

What did you do when Les left? :amazing:

Think the official website is shocking as it doesnt even give Dex a 'Yeah thanks for everything, now p*ss off' line.

They will say thanks after the transfer has been complete!
They did the same with Camp. They said the Camp is about to depart and when the transfer was complete they said thanks.

He must of cut his wrists when Sir Les left as he was everything Dext isn't and that is quality. Power pace and all round game superb. He was a goal head start. Cait please refer to his correct title of Sir Les thanks. I know your to young to remember him but the guy was world class and was worth the entrance fee alone.

I am man enough to admit that I cried a little bit.

Look, i'm not saying Dex is world class but the fact remains, he was the best goalscorer we had.
