i think some "fans" on here just hate joey barton and no matter what he does they will have a go! but lets be fair on this matter he shouldnt have been sent off ,its as simply as that and all the joey barton haters on here know thats the case! as for sayinfg you hope he gets a four match ban that my friend is a focking disgrace!

its part of the game...he a captain of aprem football team and dores very much the same himself every game......problem is he's to stupid to realise when someone else is getting at him.....

Fact is he (and we) got turned over because they "played the game"...all succesfull teams do it even internationals...ronaldo on rooney springs to mind !!!

If barton is angry at anyone, it should be himself for being suckered in..any one who plays or ever has surely knows this to be true..? IMHO

1/YES..it is part of the game..watch any top prem match any week you like and see it for yourself, Terry, Rooney. Cole, Parker, Giggs etc..they all do it so dont kid yourself...Barton is one of the most persistant...remember vinnie jones and gazza picture...wake up!!..and yes you can get booked..if anyone see's it?

Not condoning what he did, just JB got done at his own game. since the start of the season he hjas been useless, tweeting people with stick and bullying people....now he gets done at his own gameand everyone complains..stupid. Have a lok at hat he did to Gervinho about 8 months ago.....no diffrence...

Also found it hilarious that face to face, Joey looked like a little boy against a man in most pics....dwarfed....!!

It was a stupid thing to do, even if he didn`t touch him. You don`t do that, especially as you are a soon middleaged man and captain of your team. He is to blame. The game turned around after that incident. Ego before team. Not working hard enough and not using his head. Fine him, strip him of the captaincy and put him on the bench.

joey didnt touch him, and the linesman didnt see him touch johnson, the ref has sent him off on johnsons play acting!!!!!

The ref missed the fouls against Barton in the build up, didn't see the incident despite being 10 yards away and asked his assistant who was 30 yards away (he never saw it either) and made a decision based on play acting and the Norwich fans. So much for making a decision based on what is seen.

I think even Holt was asking the ref what Barton had done.
