When I first saw the incident from theSA road, Barton was flinging his elbows in the guys face and then when they stopped Barton stuck his face on to the other guys. I guess you could call it a lame head butt.

Chucking your elbows up high is a red card.

Sticking your forehead on to an opponents forehead, even if it was lame is also a red card.

I said he was going to be sent off before the red card came out.

In my eyes; Barton is a tool and deserved to go.

Now will we miss him.....

words can't describe how much i dislike our captain. No wonder nobody else wanted him. He will take us down. Glad he's out for the next three games hope we appeal and it gets rejected and they add a fourth game to the ban. ******

The Ref didn't even blow for anything until Barton got fouled . Then Johnson made such a fuss and the lino had a mare. What Barton should have done is walk away and not have got involved. People know they can wind him up and he will react. Just look at Karl Henry.

I didn't see Joey do anything that warranted a yellow card, let alone a straight red.
After seeing what I thought were the worst officials at the Emirates on Saturday, to see another three just as bad, and so soon, does not show the premier league in a good light.

Barton was MOTM against ####, was playing well today, scored but gone done over by Norwich ***** and **** ref. I don't always defend him but let's be fair.

He did no more that the other c**t, yet you won't bring up his part in it all. The ref screwed us there. Not trying to say Barton is blameless, but he reacted to what Johnson did first. That goal could have been massive if it weren't for a shocking decision. You'd all still be c**ting him then n all.

As a team, I thought we played well, especially with ten men. SWP on the right needs to stay that way. He was blinding for us down the wing.

He isnt a kid anymore hes been in the game a long time and, as captain, should know better than to bite at people pulling his shirt.

All in all, gutted about today, were robbed and thought we played very well even when down to 10. SWP superb when he came on. Newcastle game has a lot of pressure on it for a result now! Anybody know if Ba will be available for it or if he will have gone to the African Nations?

On the stream I was watching the commentators said the official reason was "attempting to headbutt" given than play continued and the linesman didnt raise his flag tells me that neither of them saw it and the ref acted on what he was told by the fourth official. What baffles me though is that play re-started with a Norwich free kick for an incident that neither the ref or lino saw. The ref blew up for a foul on our player an therefore play should have re-started with a free kick to us.
The Fourth official has in effect awarded a free-kick which I have never seen happen before..

It was ridiculous, they blew for one of the latest fouls you will ever see on a player. I thought the ref was about to send off their guy for hunting Joey down like that but he gets nothing, Joey gets a Red and they get the free kick.
