We should be grateful we can now attract players like this. Weve got Barton, Traore, SWP, Young and Ferdinand in the summer. Think back a couple of seasons ago to the dross we could only attract, e.g the Clarkes & Borrowdales and such of this world. Give the kid a chance and dont get on his back if he doesnt settle straight away.

Sorry for sounding underwhelmed, but for me there is nothing exciting about signing Macheda. I wonder if NW will play him as a striker (which he is) or on the left wing, similar to the way he Played Miller out if position last season, which was a waste of time, apart from his goal v Leicester.
